SPORTSNET AND SETANTA SPORTS OFFER EXCLUSIVE COVERAGE OF UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE PLAYOFFS

- Features six live matches during first leg of the playoff round, beginning tomorrow -

TORONTO (August 15, 2011) – Rogers Sportsnet and Setanta Sports, the exclusive Canadian home to the UEFA Champions League, provides soccer fans with exclusive coverage of the entire UEFA Champions League playoffs, beginning with the playoff rounds on August 16-17 right on through to the Championship Final in May, 2012.

Coverage gets underway tomorrow (Tuesday, Aug. 16) with three matches featuring Olympique Lyonnais vs. FC Rubin Kazan at 2:30 p.m. (ET)/11:30 a.m. (PT) on the Sportsnet East, Ontario, West and Pacific channels. At the same time, Sportsnet ONE will also televise the match between FC Twente vs. Benfica at 2:30 p.m. (ET)/11:30 a.m. (PT). Setanta will feature the Arsenal vs. Udinese match at 2:45 p.m. (ET)/11:45 a.m. (PT).

Sportsnet and Setanta will offer more coverage of the first leg on Wednesday, Aug. 17, as well as action from the second leg of the playoff round on Tuesday, Aug. 23 and Wednesday, Aug. 24.

Gerry Dobson and Craig Forrest will preview all UEFA Champions matches on Sportsnet channels prior to each match, and will also provide halftime and post-game analysis.
