ROGERS SPORTSNET AND SETANTA SPORTS PRESENT FIVE MATCHES FROM THE GROUP STAGE OF CONCACAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Schedule includes three Toronto FC matches and one each featuring Seattle Sounders FC and the Los Angeles Galaxy

TORONTO (August 16, 2011) – Toronto FC begins its journey in the group stage of the CONCACAF Champions League with a date versus Panama City's Tauro FC on Thursday, Aug. 18 at 8:00 p.m. (ET)/5:00 p.m. (PT) on Setanta Sports. TFC qualified for the tournament after winning the 2011 Nutrilite Championship, their third straight Canadian title in a row.

Setanta is available for a preview through participating distributors until September 13. Sportsnet’s coverage of the CONCACAF Champions League kicks off with the Seattle Sounders playing Guatamala's Comunicaciones tomorrow (Tuesday, Aug. 16) at 10:00 p.m. (ET)/7:00 p.m. (PT) on Sportsnet ONE.

The group stage of the CONCACAF Champions League is made up of 24 teams representing North America, Central American, and the Caribbean. The winner from this stage will qualify as the CONCACAF representative at the 2012 FIFA Club World Cup in Japan.
