Scotiabank Senators Hockey Returns to Rogers Sportsnet with 52 Games in 2011/12 Season
– Sportsnet East presents 45 games, plus additional seven games on Sportsnet Sens –
– More Sens games than any other network –
– Features 13 all-Canadian match-ups –
OTTAWA (August 22, 2011) – Rogers Sportsnet will broadcast more Ottawa Senators hockey than any other Canadian broadcaster featuring 52 regular-season games, including the Sens’ season opener when they visit the Detroit Red Wings on Friday, Oct. 7 at 7:00 p.m. (ET) on Sportsnet East.
Sportsnet’s Scotiabank Senators broadcast schedule includes 45 games on Sportsnet East and seven games on the Sportsnet ONE companion channel, Sportsnet Sens. The schedule features 10 divisional-rival games and 13 against Canadian-based teams.

Senators broadcasts will feature play-by-play announcer Dean Brown alongside Hall of Fame defenceman Denis Potvin as analyst. Ian Mendes hosts Scotiabank Senators Hockey. Sportsnet Connected will provide post-game coverage following every Sens games.
All 52 regular-season Senators games on Sportsnet East and Sportsnet Sens will be in high definition, including several key match-ups such as:
·2 Battle of Ontario games – Sens and the Toronto Maple Leafs renew their rivalry starting on Sunday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. (ET) and meet again on Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. (ET)
·4 Games against the Jets – Ottawa will have four match-ups against the Winnipeg Jets, starting with a home date on Thursday, Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m. (ET)
·Vivre Le Rivalry – The Sens have three games against their closest rivals, the Montreal Canadiens, finishing off with a road date on Friday, March 23 at 7:30 p.m. (ET)
·Sabre Rattling – Ottawa meets up with their hated rivals, the Buffalo Sabres, on two occasions, including a Remembrance Day match-up on Friday, Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m. (ET).
·Facing the Champs – The Senators play three games against the reigning Stanley Cup champion Boston Bruins, including their regular-season home finale on Thursday, April 5 at 7:30 p.m. (ET)
