Sportsnet Presents Top NHL Prospects at the 2011 Young Stars Tournament
– Sportsnet broadcasts Canucks games against Flames and Oilers –

TORONTO (September 7, 2011) – Rogers Sportsnet in partnership with the Vancouver Canucks, will showcase some of the NHL’s top prospects when the Canucks host the Edmonton Oilers at the 2011 Young Stars Tournament on Sportsnet West and Sportsnet Pacific on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 8:30 p.m. (MT)/7:30 p.m. (PT). All eight tournament games from Sept. 11-15 will be streamed live on sportsnet.ca and Canucks.com
The Young Stars Tournament continues on Sportsnet Pacific and Sportsnet West on Monday, Sept. 12 at 5 p.m. (MT)/4 p.m. (PT) when the Canucks face the Calgary Flames.
The round-robin tournament highlights prospects from the Canucks, Flames, Oilers, Winnipeg Jets and San Jose Sharks. The tourney features many notable NHL prospects such as 2011 No.1-overall pick Ryan Nugent-Hopkins of the Oilers, 2008 first rounder Greg Nemisz of the Flames and the Canucks’ 2011 first rounder Nicklas Jensen.
Sportsnet signs three-year agreement to broadcast The Dew Tour
Sportsnet has announced a new three-year agreement to broadcast The Dew Tour, featuring skateboarding, snowboarding, BMX, freeski and freestyle motocross. The deal includes the exclusive Canadian broadcast rights to the Summer Dew Tour and Winter Dew Tour.
Coverage gets underway with the Toyota Challenge in Salt Lake City on Saturday, Sept. 10 at 12 a.m. (ET)/ 9 a.m. (PT) on the Sportsnet East, Ontario West and Pacific channels. The event concludes on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 2 p.m. (ET)/11 a.m. (PT) on Sportsnet Ontario, West and Pacific.
