TORONTO (Nov. 14, 2011) – Friday Night Hockey heads east for a Quebec Major Junior Hockey League match-up as part of Sportsnet's Can’t Miss Events this week.
Friday Night Hockey – CHL Game of the Week
The Gatineau Olympiques face their division rivals, the Val-d’Or Foreurs on Sportsnet’s Friday Night Hockey at 7 p.m. (ET)/4 p.m. (PT) on Sportsnet ONE, Sportsnet East, Sportsnet Ontario and Pacific channels. Every Friday night of the 2011-2012 regular season, Sportsnet will televise a CHL game in high definition.
Friday Night Hockey broadcasts will be handled by play-by-play announcer RJ Broadhead, analyst Sam Cosentino, and host Rob Faulds. HOCKEY CENTRAL host Jeff Marek will be in studio to preview the game.
On sportsnet.ca, columnist Patrick King will take a deeper look each week at the Ontario Hockey League, the Western Hockey League and the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Cosentino will appear on the website with a weekly blog, while also discussing CHL news on Skype with fans.
On radio, Sportsnet 590 The FAN and Sportsnet 960 The FAN will provide regular updates on game results and stats.
Subway Super Series
The Subway Super Series continues as the Russian Junior squad faces one last test against the Ontario Hockey League all-stars, followed by two final games versus the best of the Western Hockey League.
Faulds hosts the series, with Broadhead as the play-by-play announcer and Cosentino as the analyst.

League-leading Manchester City are in tough when they battle third-place Newcastle as part of Sportsnet’s weekend Barclays Premier League schedule on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 10:00 a.m. (ET)/7 a.m, (PT) on Sportsnet World.
Gerry Dobson and Craig Forrest host SoccerCentral on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 2:30 p.m. (ET)/11:30 a.m. (PT) on Sportsnet East, Sportsnet Ontario, Sportsnet West and Sportsnet Pacific channels, focusing on all the weekend’s action from around the league.

UFC 139 Preliminary Fights
Sportsnet is the only network in Canada to be broadcasting the UFC 139 preliminary fights in High Definition. The card will feature Ryan Bader, the season eight Ultimate Fighter winner, against Jason Brilz in a light heavyweight tilt.
Bader started his professional career with 12 straight wins, however he is currently riding a two-match losing streak falling to both Jon Jones and Tito Ortiz. Brilz is also on a two-match losing streak, the last being a knockout at the hands of Vladimir Matyushenko 20 seconds into the first round of their fight at UFC 129. The other preliminary fight on the card is a middleweight tilt between Tom Lawlor (7-3-1) and Chris Weidman (6-0).
The main card for UFC 139 pits Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, a former UFC Light Heavyweight champion, against Dan Henderson. Henderson is a former Strikeforce Light Heavyweight champion and Pride Middleweight champ.
Sportsnet Connected will also provide coverage leading up to UFC 139 with nightly reports hosted by “Showdown” Joe Ferraro during the evening and prime editions starting on Wednesday, Nov. 16. For even more coverage, sportsnet.ca will have live streaming of the UFC 139 pre-fight press conference on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 4 p.m. (ET)/1 p.m. (PT), the UFC 139 official weigh-in on Friday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. (ET)/4 p.m. (PT) and the post-fight press conference on Saturday, Nov. 19.
International Soccer
Canada finishes the second round of qualifications for the 2014 World Cup in Rio when they take on Saint Kitts and Nevis at BMO Field in Toronto on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. (ET)/4 p.m. (PT) on Sportsnet ONE.
Dobson will have the play-by-play while former Team Canada goaltender Forrest will provide the analysis.
Canada has already made it to the next round of qualifications after finishing with the best record in their second-round group which included Puerto Rico, Saint Lucia and Saint Kitts and Nevis.
