Sportsnet Presents Comprehensive Coverage of Davis Cup Featuring Canada vs. France
– Davis Cup Preview Show primes fans for the three-day competition –

Toronto, ON (February 6, 2012) – Game, set, match. Sportsnet takes fans courtside at the Douglas Mitchell Thunderbirds Sports Centre in Vancouver for wall-to-wall coverage of the highly anticipated Davis Cup by BNP Paribas, featuring Canada vs. France. Live coverage begins Friday, Feb. 10 and continues to Sunday, Feb. 12, airing at 5 p.m. ET / 2 p.m. PT each day on Sportsnet East, Sportsnet Ontario, Sportsnet West, and Sportsnet Pacific. Headlining the Davis Cup are Milos Raonic, Canada’s highest ranking singles player ever, and Olympic Games gold medallist and seven-time Grand Slam men’s doubles champion Daniel Nestor. Rounding out the home team are Frank Dancevic and Vasek Pospisil. This marks the first time Canada has qualified for the World Group stage of the Davis Cup since 2004 and together the team will be looking to continue to establish Canada as a major player in international tennis. The French team is comprised of world No. 6 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, No. 13 Gael Monfils, No. 36 Julien Benneteau, as well as Michael Llodra, ranked fifth in doubles.
Rob Faulds will call the play-by-play alongside analyst Robert Bettauer, a former Canadian Davis Cup team member, while Arash Madani reports from courtside. Completing the broadcast team in Vancouver are host Brad Fay and analyst Damien Cox.
Sportsnet’s wall-to-wall coverage begins with the Davis Cup Preview Show, as the broadcast team sets the stage for the competition with news, updates and analysis, including special features on Milos Raonic and Canadian head coach Martin Laurendeau. The Davis Cup Preview Show premieres on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 9:30 p.m. ET (Sportsnet Ontario); 11:30 p.m. MT (Sportsnet West); 11:30 p.m. PT (Sportsnet Pacific); and 12 midnight ET (Sportsnet East).
Sportsnet is the one-stop-shop for all things Davis Cup, providing fans with complete coverage of the event, including the Davis Cup Aftershow, a live post match program streamed live on sportsnet.ca featuring highlights, analysis and press conference coverage, Friday through Sunday, following the television broadcast.
