TFC head coach John Carver will tell you he will always play his best 11.

That philosophy will be severely tested Saturday against the Los Angeles Gaslaxy.

Injuries, suspensions and international duties have conspired to create the first lineup challenge of the current season. The result could be the most dramatic change, not only to the starting 11, but to the formation as well.

Think about it.

Apart from in goal where the rookie Brian Edwards is in for Greg Sutton, who is off with the national team in Seattle, Carver’s most pressing concerns are at midfield and forward.

Lauren Robert is suspended following his Washington red card while Carl Robinson and Amado Guevara are with their respective national teams. Carver admits he can't take Olivier Tebily out of the lineup since he played so well in Montreal, so what does he do? What would you do?

He says he's got some things up his sleeve. I'm betting on Carver finding a way to deploy Jim Brennan and Marvell Wynne in more attacking roles. They've shown they can do it, and that's where they need help.
