So Day 1 is in the books with one match going according to plan and the other one completely against the book except for the final result. Let's deal with that one first. Nobody expected much from Switzerland and yet they're not a bad side. And you can bet the Czechs are thanking their lucky stars.
Out-chanced and out-worked, they were fortunate to come away with a 1-0 victory. Even when their star player Alexander Frei went down with a knee injury, the Swiss were still the better side.
