Coach Dale Mitchell and his troops have arrived in Montréal in anticipation of Saturday's match against Honduras. The team had its first training session this morning with the first group of players that arrived over the weekend.

"We had nine players (this morning) and we will get a good portion of guys throughout the rest of the day," Mitchell said after the team's two-hour practice at the Complexe sportif Claude-Robillard. "We should be very close to full strength tomorrow and should have everyone by Wednesday."

Canada is playing six matches against three teams in Stage III of the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa Qualifiers.

"We will just work everyday and make sure that by the time Saturday comes around, everybody will focused on the match here in Montréal," Mitchell said.

Unlike Canada's last match on August 20 in Toronto, the team will have nearly a full week together in Montréal.

"I think the time for the guys to adjust from coming over from Europe is big," Mitchell said. "I think that a couple of guys suffered with that on the Wednesday night game (on 20 August), maybe they weren't quite 100%. Everybody should be very close to 100% by the time we play on Saturday (6 September)."
