Jim Brennan's days with the National team are over -- at least for the time being.

The TFC captain announced his decision Tuesday morning as a result of what he says is mismanagement of the team in World Cup Qualifying. Brennan was not called up by Canadian head coach Dale Mitchell for the upcoming matches against Honduras and Mexico.

Brennan said he never even received a call from the team and after playing more than 50 times for his country, and he feels he deserves better.

I called the team's training camp in Florida Tuesday but head coach Dale Mitchell has nothing to say until a conference call Wednesday afternoon at which point he will address the issue.

Brennan and Mitchell have not seen eye to eye on many things with respect to this qualifying campaign.

And it gets worse.

Influential midfielder Julian de Guzman did not make the trip due to injury.
