ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- Matthew Stafford says he didn't practise Wednesday and hasn't been cleared to run because the Detroit Lions want to reduce swelling in his right knee.

Stafford says, "I don't know, we'll see," when asked if he will play Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Detroit coach Jim Schwartz told reporters the injury report would be out at 4 o'clock when asked for an update on Stafford after he was held out of practice for the second straight day.

Stafford had his right knee twisted on a sack in Sunday's loss at Chicago.

The No. 1 pick in the NFL draft says it was "scary," when he was injured, adding tests showed no structural damage and surgery wasn't necessary.

Daunte Culpepper would start in Stafford's place if he can't play.
