Toronto FC will name its fourth head coach in franchise history on Thursday morning at BMO Field.
No names have been confirmed, but it is expected to be former Chivas USA coach Predrag "Preki" Radosavljevic. Preki was let go by Chivas in the wake of the club bowing out of the playoffs in the first round.
Preki has a tie to current Toronto FC Director of Soccer Mo Johnston as both played together as members of MLS club the Kansas City Wizards. As a coach, the Yugoslavian-born American was named MLS coach of the year in 2007 and has not missed the post-season in his three years with the Californian club.
Toronto FC did not renew the contract of interim Chris Cummins after the club failed to reach the playoffs for a third-straight season. Cummins took over for second-year coach John Carver after just six games and led the club to its first Nutrilite Canadian Championship.
