Landon Donovan says he would be happy to extend his loan deal at Everton a little longer before he returns to the Los Angeles Galaxy.
The attacking midfielder scored and set up a goal in Everton's 5-1 victory over Hull on Sunday. Afterward he said there was a chance he might continue playing in the Premier League before returning to America in time for the Major League Soccer season later this month.
Everton manager David Moyes said he would try and extend the loan deal, but respects the Galaxy's decision to take him back. Donovan will still be around to play at Birmingham next Saturday.
