Toronto FC supporters, step away from the ledge. Yes, things are bleak after the embarrassing 4-1 loss in New England. Yes, it smarts to see that two former Reds' strikers (Striker I & Striker II) scored in separate games on Saturday. But it is therapeutic to find happiness in these times of trouble.

Besides, I am certain that a high percentage of supporters anticipated the Reds would face its home opener without a win in the two road games which began season four. Panic can begin if the grand unveiling of the grass goes wrong on Thursday night at BMO Field.

So before any of you decide to take the final step forward, consider that you'll miss what is shaping up to be a great MLS season.

To begin, the Canadians. In his first game as captain of the Reds, Dwayne De Rosario responded by scoring the only goal in the lopsided loss. Always a fierce competitor, De Ro is going to need an iron will this season. Let's pray there are no more job openings in the front office.

In Salt Lake City the defending MLS Cup champions drew the Sounders behind a video game goal from Will Johnson. The Canadian also won goal of the year in 2008.

In Kansas City, the first-place Wizards got 15 minutes from substitute Teal Bunbury. An injury to Zoltan (great name) will provide the first-round SuperDraft selection with plenty of opportunity to chip away at his father's record of four goals in 24 appearances for Kansas City.

While the Canadian contingent did our country proud in Week 2, it is difficult to lament the short-comings of Toronto FC after what happened in Philadelphia. With Union head coach Peter Nowak not on the bench following the death of the Polish president earlier Saturday, assistant coach John Hackworth stepped in and watched Sébastien Le Toux score three goals in front of 34,870 at Lincoln Financial Field.

Le Toux scored one goal in 28 appearances for the Sounders in 2009.

Feel better, yet? I figured as much. But remember, Toronto is the only club without a home game thus far. So relax until Thursday, for on Friday there may be a lineup for the ledge.
