Toronto FC can end the Nutrilite Canadian Championship for Montreal on Wednesday night with a win at Saputo Stadium.
Toronto defeated Montreal 2-0 in the tournament opener on April 28 at BMO Field, a game that saw Impact forward Roberto Brown sent off for punching Reds defender Nick Garcia. Dwayne De Rosario scored the decisive opening goal in the victory. The rivalry in the third-year tournament dates back to last season when Toronto beat Montreal 6-1 in the final game to wrest the Voyageur Cup away from Vancouver on goal differential.
Montreal drew 1-1 with the third team involved in the tournament, Vancouver, last Wednesday. The Impact struggled with discipline in that match as well and will be without defender Adam Braz and forward Reda Agourram against Toronto, who were suspended on Tuesday for separate incidents versus the Impact.
The game can be seen live on Sportsnet East and West.
