Former Toronto FC goalkeeper Jon Conway is retiring after 12 seasons in Major League Soccer.

The Chicago Fire, Conway's team for the 2011 season, announced Tuesday that the veteran 'keeper was calling it quits.

"It's been a pleasure to witness the growth of the sport and the league in the United States," Conway said in a statement. "I'd like to thank everyone who's been a part of it, my teammates, my coaches, the fans and especially my family for supporting me throughout the years."

Conway won two MLS Cups and one Nutrilite Canadian Championship after playing for the San Jose Earthquakes, the New York Red Bulls, Chivas USA and Toronto FC.

The 34-year-old 'keeper won both MLS championships with San Jose in 2001 and 2003 and the Canadian title in 2010 with Toronto.
