FRANKFURT, Germany -- Bundesliga leader Borussia Dortmund cruised past fourth-tier Holstein Kiel 4-0 on Tuesday to reach the semifinals of the German Cup.
Robert Lewandowski and Shinji Kagawa scored inside the first 18 minutes and substitute Lucas Barrios and Ivan Perisic completed the victory with goals in the last 10 minutes. Both teams struggled on a frozen pitch but Dortmund was never threatened.
Borussia Dortmund is on a 14-match unbeaten run in the Bundesliga and is two points clear as it seeks to defend the title.
