MANCHESTER, England -- Carlos Tevez could be back in action and spearheading Manchester City's challenge for the English Premier League in as little as two weeks.
City manager Roberto Mancini says he has accepted Tevez's apology for his conduct since refusing to warm up during September's Champions League match against Bayern Munich and is prepared to restore the Argentina striker to his team.
Mancini says "he maybe needs two or three weeks to find good form and after, if he is OK, he will play."
Mancini added that he will meet Thursday with the 28-year-old Tevez, who has recently returned from an unauthorized three-month break in South America.
