PRAGUE, Czech Republic — Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech will miss the Czech Republic’s friendly against Turkey on Wednesday due to a broken little finger.

Wednesday programming alert: Watch Spain v Uruguay (on Sportsnet, 1pm ET), England v Brazil (on Sportsnet ONE, 2pm ET), Netherlands v Italy (on Sportsnet World, 2:30pm ET) and France v Germany (on Sportsnet, 3pm ET).

Czech picked up the injury during Chelsea’s 3-2 loss to Newcastle in the Premier League on Saturday.

It was not immediately clear when he might recover.

Czech Republic coach Michal Bilek said Jan Lastuvka of Dnipropetrovsk will take over in goal for the friendly, while Hamburg goalkeeper Jaroslav Drobny has been called up to the squad.

The match in the Turkish city of Manisa is a warmup for 2014 World Cup qualifiers in March.

The Czechs face Denmark and Armenia, while Turkey plays Andorra and Hungary.
