TURIN, Italy — Argentine winger Roberto Pereyra has joined Italian champion Juventus in a 1.5 million euros ($2 million) loan from Udinese.
Juventus says the deal also gives it the option to purchase Pereyra’s full rights at the end of the upcoming season for 14 million euros — although the price could rise to 15.5 million euros depending on Juve’s success rate over the next six seasons.
The 23-year-old Pereyra, who can play on the left wing in either defence or attack, was a regular starter for Udinese for the past two seasons.
With Massimiliano Allegri having taken over as Juve manager after Antonio Conte’s sudden departure this month, the three-time defending champion has also signed Patrice Evra from Manchester United and Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid.
