MUNICH _ Arjen Robben, Douglas Costa and Juan Bernat returned to team training for Bayern Munich’s first session of 2016 while four other injured stars missed out Monday.
Injury-hit David Alaba, Franck Ribery, Medhi Benatia and Mario Goetze only completed individual training sessions.
Coach Pep Guardiola had 26 players on the pitch, including Jan Kirchhoff, despite transfer speculation linking him with a move away from the club.
Guardiola, who is leaving Bayern at the end of the season, is due to appear at a news conference on Tuesday. The 45-year-old Spaniard is bidding to lead the side to a Bundesliga, Champions League and German Cup treble in his final season in charge.
Bayern flies to Qatar for its winter training camp on Wednesday.
The Bundesliga resumes Jan. 22 when Bayern visits Hamburg.
