Eintracht signs Croatia forward Ante Rebic on loan

FRANKFURT — Eintracht Frankfurt says it has signed Croatian forward Ante Rebic on loan for one season from Fiorentina.

Eintracht has the option to buy out Rebic’s contract.

Rebic played for RB Leipzig two years ago in the second division. He was on loan to Verona last season.

Rebic will be reunited with Niko Kovac, the former Croatia coach in charge of Eintracht.

Rebic has eight caps for Croatia but was not in the European Championship squad.
