Former Vancouver Whitecaps forward Kekuta Manneh has joined Pachuca in Liga MX, the club announced on Tuesday.
Manneh, 22, was traded from Vancouver to the Columbus Crew this past March. The U.S. international earned 19 appearances, the majority of which came as a substitute, during the 2017 season.
Since Manneh’s deal expires at the end of the month, any team outside of MLS was able to sign him on a free transfer. German 2. Bundesliga side Union Berlin brought in the Gambian-born forward on a trial in early December, but the club did not make an offer.

Pachuca, the current holders of the CONCACAF Champions League, have a strong reputation for developing and starting young players under coach Diego Alonso, which could help Manneh reach his potential.
Manneh spent four years in Vancouver, amassing 22 goals and 12 assists in 101 appearances with the Whitecaps.
