MADRID, Spain — Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola says he has no interest in taking over at Manchester United after the firing of David Moyes.

Guardiola says "I am here, I am Bayern and I want to stay here two more years."

United dismissed Moyes earlier Tuesday and put Ryan Giggs in charge on an interim basis for the rest of the season.

Guardiola says he was surprised by Moyes’ dismissal but is not interested in replacing him, despite former United manager Alex Ferguson’s public admiration for the ex-Barcelona coach.

Guardiola says "to change the culture and go to Germany was not easy for me and I need more time to feel really this is my team."

He adds that "Bayern is absolutely my team."

Guardiola spoke in Madrid ahead of Bayern’s Champions League semifinal first leg against Real Madrid.
