BERLIN — Hertha Berlin signed Czech Republic midfielder Vladimir Darida from relegated Bundesliga side Freiburg on Saturday.
Hertha says the 24-year-old Darida, who has played 25 times for his country, is getting a four-year-deal and will wear the No. 6 jersey.
Hertha sporting dirctor Michael Preetz says "Darida is a young but experienced flexible player who will bring fresh impulse to our team."
Darida scored nine goals in 54 Bundesliga games for Freiburg since switching from Czech side Viktoria Plzen in 2013. He won the Czech championship twice and cup once with Plzen.
