Impact’s Nyassi called in by national team

Nyassi, who has four caps from his national team, was called in by Gambia for a World Cup qualifying match Saturday against Ivory Coast.

MONTREAL — Midfielder Sanna Nyassi has been selected by the Gambian national team and will miss the Montreal Impact’s Major League Soccer game Saturday against the New York Red Bulls.

Nyassi, who has four caps from his national team, was called in by Gambia for a World Cup qualifying match Saturday against Ivory Coast.

He had six goals in 28 games for Montreal last season. He ahs appeared in all three games of the Impact’s games this season, including one start.
