The Montreal Impact announced that rookie forward Cameron Porter underwent successful ACL surgery on his right knee on Wednesday.
Porter suffered the injury against the New England Revolution on March 21st in the first half of the game. He’s expected to miss nine to 12 months of action.
The 21-year-old scored the winning goal on his professional debut for the Impact against Pachuca in the second leg of the CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals. He was slowly establishing himself as a starter before the injury.
The former Princeton Tiger was selected in the third round (45th overall) of the 2015 MLS SuperDraft in January.
