TURIN, Italy — Juventus players Martin Caceres and Simone Pepe are likely to miss the start of the season because of injuries.
The two players were both injured in the game against AC Milan at the Trofeo Tim tournament at the weekend, with Caceres leaving the pitch on a stretcher.
Juventus said Monday the Uruguayan defender has ligament damage in his left knee, while Pepe has injured his left thigh.
Caceres is expected to be out for a month and Pepe for at least 20 days.
The new Serie A season starts the weekend of August 25.
