TURIN, Italy — Juventus midfielder Roberto Pereyra will be sidelined for more than a month with a muscular problem, and teammate Kwadwo Asamoah has had another injury setback.
Pereyra went off in the 37th minute of Juventus’ 2-0 win over Atalanta after pulling up clutching his hamstring and the team says tests "revealed a second-grade tear" in his right thigh.
Juventus says the Argentina midfielder will be out for about 40 days.
Asamoah – who replaced Pereyra on Sunday – will likely return to action in 20 days following "a first-grade tear" in his left thigh.
Asamoah missed most of last season with knee problems and had only made one appearance this season prior to Sunday’s win.
