Lionel Messi is one of soccer’s biggest stars but his off-field actions might be more impressive.
Messi was walking into his team’s hotel prior to Argentina’s World Cup qualifier match against Uruguay, and a fan wanted to get a closer view of the Barcelona forward.
The young supporter was stopped by security and escorted away. Messi saw what was happening, and got security to bring the boy back. The fan went from dismayed to delighted as he got to meet the soccer superstar and snap a few pictures with him.
This isn’t the first time that Argentina’s all-time leading goal-scorer proved to be a man of the people. It probably won’t be his last.
