Michael Bradley will return to Toronto FC from U.S. national team duty ahead of the team’s crucial showdown against the New York Red Bulls on Wednesday.

Bradley started and played 120 minutes in the USA’s 3-2 loss to Mexico in the CONCACAF Cup on Saturday, but was granted an early release from the Stars and Stripes.

Jozy Altidore, who also started vs. Mexico, will stay with the U.S. and will be available for the friendly against Costa Rica on Tuesday.

Sebastian Giovinco will also be staying with the Italy national team until the end of the international window.

TFC needs a win or a draw vs. the Red Bulls in order to clinch the team’s first-ever MLS playoff spot.
