NYON, Switzerland — UEFA has chosen the San Siro in Milan to host the 2016 Champions League final.

Milan previously hosted European Cup finals in 1965 and 1970, and the Champions League final in 2001.

The UEFA executive committee on Thursday also selected St. Jakob-Park in Basel to stage the Europa League final in 2016.

The Super Cup between the winners of the two UEFA club competitions will be in Norway for the first time at Lerkendal Stadion in Trondheim.

The 2015 Champions League final is at Berlin’s Olympic Stadium. The next Europa League final is at Poland’s National Stadium in Warsaw.
