THESSALONIKI, Greece — Greek club PAOK has replaced Angelos Anastasiadis as coach after losing ground to leader Olympiakos.
The northern club says Anastasiadis has been replaced by former player Giorgos Giorgiadis until the end of the season.
PAOK led Greece’s 18-team league before the new year, but a run of bad results saw it slip to third place, with a 0-0 draw at home with Atromitos widening the gap with Olympiakos to 10 points.
The 62-year-old Anastasiadis had spent much for his career as a player and coach at the club.
Olympiakos currently leads with 61 points, level with Panathinaikos but with a game in hand.
