DALLAS — About 20 men, one waving a Palestinian flag, ran on the field in the 87th minute of Roma’s 1-0 win over Real Madrid at the Cotton Bowl on Tuesday.
The group of mostly young men overwhelmed the match security and delayed the game for a while.
Players and officials waited patiently as the visitors were rounded up and removed from the scene. The invaders looked for some sort of acknowledgement, and Real Madrid’s Isco allowed selfies, and signed some jerseys.
Francesco Totti scored the only goal of the friendly in the 58th.
