Should Premier League take holidays off?

While most of the top divisions from across Europe take the holiday season off, the English Premier League continues on with a full slate of games.

English clubs traditionally play on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, and end up having to play three league games over a 10-day period, and then play an FA Cup match.

It’s a lot fun for fans, and provides a great spectacle. But is it fair to the players? Don’t they deserve time off like players in other top European leagues?
