Paris Saint-Germain has taken up the option to sign right back Serge Aurier on a deal until 2019, the French champion said on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old Ivorian joined from Toulouse on a season-long loan with a view to a permanent deal.
Aurier has been sidelined by injury for much of the season, limiting him to 12 league appearances, but he has looked impressive at times going forward.
Aurier says, "I’m very proud that this club has once again shown faith in me," and that he wants to help the ambitious club "reach the heights of French and European football."
The attack-minded Aurier scored eight goals in 72 league games for Toulouse
