GELSENKIRCHEN, Germany — Bundesliga club Schalke says it has signed Algeria midfielder Nabil Bentaleb from Tottenham on a one-season loan.
Bentaleb made only 11 appearances for Tottenham last season because of ankle and knee injuries.
Schalke also announced the signing of another defensive midfielder, Benjamin Stambouli from Paris Saint-Germain, on a four-year contract.
No details of the two deals were given.
