STOKE, England — Stoke says that its attacker Bojan will miss the rest of the season with a ruptured cruciate ligament in his left knee that requires surgery.
Bojan sustained the injury in the 32nd minute of Stoke’s 4-1 win over Rochdale in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Monday, where he scored the opening goal after four minutes.
Stoke manager Mark Hughes says the news is "bitterly disappointing for the club" and that Bojan "was making such a big impact on the Premier League."
The 24-year-old Bojan signed for Stoke in July last year from Barcelona.
