TORONTO — Toronto FC has signed English fullback Bradley Orr.

The 31-year-old arrives on loan from Blackburn Rovers of the second-tier English Championship. Orr has also played for Newcastle, Bristol City, Queens Park Rangers, Ipswich Town, Burnley and Blackpool.

The Liverpool native is expected to take over at right fullback, replacing Richard Eckersley who is awaiting a move due to his hefty contract. Toronto also has Mark Bloom, who performed well in place of Eckersley at the end of last season.
