Toronto FC midfielder Michael Bradley and forward Jozy Altidore have been named to the United States soccer team for a pair of friendly matches.

The 23-man roster, announced Sunday, will play the friendlies in preparation for an Oct. 10 playoff against Mexico for a spot in the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup.

The U.S. will meet Peru on Sept. 4 in Washington, D.C., and Brazil on Sept. 8 in Foxborough, Mass. Bradley will join the U.S. team ahead of the match against Brazil.

Bradley, 28, has appeared in 19 matches, registering four goals and seven assists for Toronto FC this season across MLS league play and the Amway Canadian Championship.

Bradley has earned 105 caps for the U.S. while scoring 15 goals. His most recent cap came on July 25 in the CONCACAF Gold Cup third-place game against Panama.

Altidore, 25, has appeared in 20 matches, registering 11 goals and two assists for Toronto. Altidore has earned 83 caps for the U.S., scoring 27 goals.
