TORONTO – Toronto FC has dispatched fullback Justin Morrow and midfielder Collen Warner to Germany train with Werder Bremen.

The MLS club says the move is as part of its "ongoing relationship" with former designated player Torsten Frings.

Frings, a longtime player for Werder Bremen, is an assistant coach at the German club.

TFC says the two players arrived last Friday and will be training with the Werder Bremen second team through the weekend. The purpose of the trip is "fitness … and professional growth."

Toronto has sent players to train with European clubs before. Defender Doneil Henry spent time with England’s West Ham United while midfielder Jonathan Osorio spent time with Huddersfield of England’s second tier and Werder Bremen prior to the 2014 MLS season.
