TORONTO — Toronto FC veteran Dwayne De Rosario has been suspended for one game and fined for kicking out at a Montreal Impact player on the weekend.

The 36-year-old Canadian attacking midfielder was yellow-carded in stoppage time Saturday for flicking out a leg at defender Hassoun Camara, who was ejected after receiving a second yellow for the initial challenge on the play.

The MLS disciplinary committee set De Rosario’s punishment to a one-game ban and undisclosed fine for endangering the safety of an opponent.

The 1-1 tie with the Impact eliminated Toronto from playoff contention.

Midfielder Jonathan Osorio, red-carded in the Montreal game, is also suspended for Toronto’s season finale Saturday in New England.
