Toronto FC just can’t seem to stay completely healthy.

Dogged by injuries all season, the Reds have a new injury concern to deal with, as the Major League Soccer club confirmed Monday that Canadian forward Tosaint Ricketts will be sidelined for three to four weeks with a hamstring strain.

Ricketts suffered the injury in last Wednesday’s 4-0 win over the Ottawa Fury in the second leg of the Canadian Championship semifinals.

The loss of Ricketts is somewhat mitigated by the fact that the Reds are off this week and don’t play again until June 17 when they host D.C. United.

Toronto is already dealing with the absence of defender Nick Hagglund, who is expected to be out until August with a torn MCL in his left knee.

The Reds have also lost a number of other players to injury so far this season, including star striker Sebastian Giovinco, goalkeeper Clint Irwin and veteran defender Drew Moor.

Ricketts’ injury means he’ll be unavailable for the Canadian national team’s upcoming friendly against Curacao on June 13 in Montreal.

A native of Edmonton, Ricketts has three goals in 12 MLS appearances this season, five as a starter.

Ricketts’ absence means fellow Canadian Jordan Hamilton and youngster Ben Spencer will move up the forward depth chart behind Giovinco and Jozy Altidore.
