VALENCIA, Spain — Valencia striker Paco Alcacer will likely miss Sunday’s city derby at Levante because of a leg injury.
Valencia says the 21-year-old Alcacer hurt a muscle in his right leg while playing for Spain over the international break.
New signing Alvaro Negredo, recently back from a broken foot, could start in his place at Ciutat de Valencia Stadium.
Alcacer has scored four goals for Valencia this season.
Valencia is in third place in the Spanish league, three points behind leader Real Madrid.
