CONCACAF’s Montagliani on Italy’s failure: Gap separating elites has closed

CONCACAF president Victor Montagliani joined Sportsnet 650 to discuss Italy’s failure to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

He said Chile not making it is a bigger surprise, and that this may be the best thing for Italy’s depleted football economy.

“One of the reasons soccer is the greatest sport on Earth is because of these situations,” Montagliani said.
