Pretending to speak in a British accent is something most North Americans attempt at some point in their lifetime.

But what happens when it goes the other way?

A quartet of Arsenal players have provided us with a glimpse.

Carl Jenkinson, Serge Gnabry, Kieran Gibbs and Mathieu Flamini got together to attempt their best New York accents ahead of Arsenal’s friendly against the New York Red Bulls.

The results were rather glorious.

The game will be Thierry Henry’s first match against his old team. Henry played for Arsenal for eight years before leaving to join Barcelona in 2007.
