Canada’s Fed Cup journey may have hit a bump in the road, but the ladies are already looking forward to their next challenge.
The disappointing 3-2 loss to Belarus in the first round of the Fed Cup resulted in relegation to the World Group II playoff.
The Canadian ladies will be facing Slovakia on April 16 and 17, but this time they will not have home court advantage.
“We have been lucky to play so many home ties since 2014, but now we are going back on the road,” said Sylvian Bruneau, captain of the Canadian team in a press release.
The last meeting between the two teams was in 2014, Canada defeating Slovakia 3-1 in Quebec City.
