There’s another budding star in Canadian tennis, and he’s already writing his name into the history books.

Montreal native Felix Auger Aliassime became the first player born this millennium to earn a position on the ATP world rankings, per the official website. He’s currently ranked 1,257th.

The 14-year-old earned his spot in the rankings after recording three wins in qualifying rounds against players who were more than twice his age at a Challenger event in Drummondville, Que., last week. He had to drop out of the tournament due to injury.

Auger Aliassime still has a long way to go before competing with the Roger Federers of the world, but he already has one thing in common with the No. 2-ranked player: they share a birthdate (August 8). Now, to work on the Grand Slam thing.
