U Sports Football: Marauders hand Gee-Gees first loss of season

HAMILTON — Jackson White threw two touchdown passes as the McMaster Marauders downed Ottawa 24-7 on Saturday to hand the Gee-Gees their first loss of the U Sports football season.

White completed 20-of-32 passes for 255 yards with TD strikes to Tommy Nield and Mitch O’Connor.

Dylan Astrom ran in a one-yard touchdown for McMaster (2-1).

Alex Lavric threw for 133 yards for the Gee-Gee (3-1) with one interception. Lewis Ward supplied the offence with two field goals and a rouge.

The Marauders recorded two safeties.

OTTAWA — Dion Pellerin ran in two fourth-quarter touchdowns as Waterloo (4-0) rallied to beat Carleton (1-3).

WINNIPEG — Adam Sinagra was 15-of-23 for 264 yards and three touchdowns while Michael Klukas caught four passes for 129 yards and two TDs as Calgary (3-0) crushed Manitoba (0-3).

REGINA — Noah Picton completed 30-of-42 passes for 334 yards and connected with cousin Mitchell Picton for two TDs as the Rams (2-1) defeated Alberta (0-3).

MONTREAL — Trenton Miller threw for 472 yards and tosses six touchdown passes, including three to Sam Nadon, as Concordia (2-1) routed McGill (1-2).

VANCOUVER — Michael O’Connor threw for 431 yards and two touchdowns while and Ben Cummings rushed for 178 yards with a TD as UBC (2-1) downed Saskatchewan (2-1).
