Sports Interaction’s Pick Six
American Thanksgiving brings us a great football tradition, and the prime-time matchup between the Ravens and Steelers makes it that much better. This could be the game of the week.
Here are the opening NFL Odds for Week 12.
Ravens at Steelers (-3.5)
Division rivals clash one more time this regular season, but maybe not the last time this season. Back on November 1st the Steelers knocked off the Ravens 28-24. The Steelers were underdogs in that game, but they likely won’t be underdogs for the remainder of the season. I like the Steelers in this spot.
Pick: Steelers -3.5
Titans at Colts (-4)
Just two weeks ago the Colts blasted the Titans 34-17 in Tennessee, now they meet again in Indianapolis. The Colts have won four of the last five meeting against their division rival. Ironically, the last time these two teams played in Indy, it was the Titans that delivered a 14-point win.
Pick: Titans +4
Cardinals (-2.5) at Patriots
New England’s slim postseason hopes came crashing down to earth last weekend in Houston. The Patriots were coming off back-to-back wins over the Jets and Ravens and yes, even with a win versus the Texans it would have been a tough path to the post season. Speaking of a tough path, how about Kyler Murray and the Cardinals with extended time to game plan against them?
Pick: Cardinals -2.5
Saints (-6) at Broncos
Taysom Hill was impressive in his first Saints start last week as he passed for 233 yards against the Falcons secondary. This week, the test is drastically harder. The Broncos defence will give all sorts of problems, plus playing at Mile High is never a cup of tea. New Orleans will win this game, but it will be tough to cover this number.
Pick: Broncos +6
49ers (-6.5) at Rams
Short week for the Rams coming off a Monday night win in Tampa Bay. The Niners are hopeful that some of their key players are slowly on the mend as they enjoyed a bye week last week. However, this will not be the same 49ers roster that beat the Rams 24-16 back on October 24.
Pick: 49ers -6.5
Bears at Packers (-7.5)
I wouldn’t want to be the Bears on Sunday Night Football. Firstly, they’ve lost four straight games, after starting the season 5-1. Head Coach Matt Nagy isn’t certain which quarterback will start or be healthy enough to start. Secondly, there’s the Aaron Rodgers factor. Rodgers was clearly ticked off at the team’s finish in an overtime loss last weekend in Indianapolis. Would you want to face Rodgers in a bad mood?
Pick: Packers -7.5
Last week: 3-3
